About Pat and Cathie Walsh

Pat and Cathie Walsh Bio: We are blessed to live in Murrells Inlet South Carolina, a little piece of Paradise,.
After retiring from the busy life of a Washington DC Firefighter, we vacationed in Myrtle Beach SC. Just 12 miles to the south we found this beautiful spot on the map, purchased a home, and have lived here ever since.

What began as a "quaint little fishing village" on an inlet believed to have harbored Blackbeard, the Pirate, has grown through the years in population. Yet it has tried to preserve as much of that old village feeling as possible.

Having "retired" for the second time, I took up photography as a hobby. Not long after, my wife Cathie joined me in pursuing beautiful moments in time. With the Atlantic Ocean on our east and the Inland Waterway and the Wacamaw River to our west, there is no shortage of magnificent wild life, sunrises, sunsets, and, of course, the "quaint little fishing village" and the wonderful people who live here.

Our interest in photography has grown along with the desire to explore as much of the area as we can. And along the way,we try to capture as many of these exotic memories as possible. With the beautiful city of Charleston to the south the Outer Banks to the north, and the mountains of North and South Carolina to the west, there are many opportunities to view natural beauty at it's finest. Whenever we travel we search for photo opportunities both at home and abroad. This has resulted in a much wider range of subject matter.

Our Artwork is on display at the Seacoast Artists Gallery in Market Common in Myrtle Beach S.C., at Gershon"s Deli in Garden City S.C.

Our photos attempt to convey life and leisure along the South Atlantic coastline, and, in particular, the spirit of the Inlet and its surrounds: daily life in a little piece of Paradise.
